I want to take this opportunity to thank my entire family and all of my friends for supporting my business.
My story
1st let me start by telling you that I have to thank my mom's friend, Dev*, for starting me out on my "great magnet adventure". Dev* gave me a magnet maker for Christmas in 2002 and I hit the ground running.
I started out in early 2003 (at 5 years old) with just 5 magnets and a dream of opening up a business of my very own (the lemonade stand wasn't challenging enough for me).
By early Spring, I expanded my line of magnets. On Easter Sunday, I was determined to go public and I set up my own stand in the front of a local church and within 15 minutes I “Sold Out”… That June, I participated in my first Craft Show and did rather well.By Mid-June, I participated in a 2nd show and was commended by all for my wonderful booth and cheerful magnets. In July, I did a 3rd show with much success. I especially want to thank my Grandma, Jacqueline and Philou for their extraordinary efforts. Grandma is my “# 1 employee” !She tirelessly helped me make and paint many, many, many magnets. She kept the assembly line going to meet my order obligationslong after I was tired and went to bed.For this, I thank her and love her very much.
Jacqueline is my “# 1 Sales Rep” !She drummed up more business for me than anyone can imagine and for this, I truly thank her from the bottom of my little heart! Philou is my “# 1 Billing and Collections Dept” !He kept an accurate track of all of my incoming orders and helped set the pace for my production line from day-to-day.For this, I sincerely thank him.(P.S. thanks for the Patriotic Puerto Rican Frog Magnet idea...We’re going to sell them allout this year!).
I feel very fortunate to have so many people believe in me and back me up regardless of my age.
Last but not least, I give special thanks to all of the customers who purchased my magnets and other merchandise and made my first couple of years in business a huge success!
